Screenplay

Fostering Hope is a screenplay set in a busy social work department. It centres on the life and caseload of a young newly qualified social worker. My intention was to dramatise fictional but realistic cases and raise the profile and understanding of social work in an era where they often blamed for the behaviour and actions of their clients.

I started this as an exercise in writing dialogue and also to try a different medium for fiction. If you would like to try screen writing or any type of play it is a good idea to buy a copy of Final Draft. It will save hours of typesetting and editing. It might be expensive to buy, but it is an essential tool for anyone serious about writing plays.

I will be completing the screenplay as part of my dissertation for my MA.
